Twenty-three! 🙂
Last week’s quote was from The Birds’ Christmas Carol by Kate Douglas Wiggin, Chapter 2: “Drooping Wings”.
Wonderful, wonderful book (if you don’t mind bittersweet endings that make you cry).  Brownie-points for Mama for being the only one to correctly guess this book!  And now this week we have one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite books.  Can’t you just see this gorgeous scene in your head?
It was rather a pretty little picture, for the sisters sat together in the shady nook, with sun and shadow flickering over them, the aromatic wind lifting their hair and cooling their hot cheeks, and all the little wood people going on with their affairs as if these were no strangers but old friends.
Beautiful, isn’t that?  Happy guessing!
I don’t know. I have a feeling that it’s Little Women, but I’m not sure.
Okay, I’m kinda cheating (not saying where from) but it’s Little Women. I think it’s the chapter of the Busy Bee Society.
What does kind-of cheating mean???
Not telling.
Then I’m not counting your guess. . . !!!
Ok, fine. After I commented, Hannah saw it and knew what it was from and I told her that I thought it was from Little Women. She confirmed it and told me what part it was from. I kinda already knew though, and if I had the book, I’d figure out page, chapter, and such.
Little Women?
Is it cheating if I say little Little Women, sense I haven’t read it? 🙂 – Jaidyn
Yes, I would prefer you don’t guess just from what other people are saying.
Thank you, Ellen. And that still counts! 🙂
(This is down here because it wouldn’t let me reply to you again up there.)
