It’s Saturday

Sorry about my long absence around here, dear friends.  We just got back to school from Christmas break this week, so I have been a bit busy!  Most of my spare hours have been spent trying to memorize songs on the piano or desperately working on The Sacrifice.

It’s been going. . . slow.  I don’t really like the second half that much, but the first half is turning out lovely, if I do say so myself.  And there happen to be a hundred little details that I can’t quite decide if I like, or if they belong in the City or the Valley (or my surrounding mountain-range) at all.  Also, I’m just sure that there’s a perfect ending for it waiting just around some corner for me to find and write, but I have yet to figure out which corner that happens to be.  If you run into any happy endings, they may belong to me, so if you wouldn’t mind letting me know. . .

Anyway, I’m working on it, and doing my best to get it out “in front of your eyeballs” as soon as possible! 🙂

It’s good to be back, and I’ll try to come around again before another whole week!

Happy Saturday!

  1. (sorry if this is info we should already know) Are you finishing up writing ‘The Sacrifice’, or is it finished and you’re editing right now?
Perfect endings are SO hard to write. And find. If I bump into any runaway happy endings, I’ll send them your way 😀 .
Excited for when the story is ‘in front of our eyeballs’!
    Happy Saturday!

        1. Thanks! I’m glad you thought they were any good 🙂 . Happy endings are one of my favorite parts to write, because that is where everything is pulled together and finished.
Ooo, editing. *shudders* My LEAST favorite part of writing. I used to not mind it much … until I had to edit my Sleeping Beauty story. And it needed a LOT of editing. I about lost my mind.
Here’s hoping it goes better for you than it did for me 😀 .

  2. I can’t wait to read the Sacrifice. I want to build a time machine and read it. Or ask Mr. Peabody if I can borrow his WAYBAC (if that’s how you spell it).

    1. What does a WAYBAC do?? I haven’t heard of Mr. Peabody.
I hope you enjoy The Sacrifice. It’s the longest story I’ll have ever posted on my blog. . . I sort of think of it as a beginning to the long stories. Trusting more stories will come after it, that is. #WishfulThinking Okay, I’m sure there will be, but it might be a while–it’s taken me almost a year to get this far in The Sacrifice! *sigh*

      1. Woah. A year?!? I haven’t spent that long on a story that I can remember! You are way dedicated, Hanna!
(maybe you could post a little teeny exerpt? or two?? :))

          1. Hmm, I’ll have to think about it. I texted Ellen a few couple-line excerpts last week, so you can wheedle those out of her in the meantime! 😉
