??? {Mystery Quote #28} ???

Hey, guys!  I’ve had my blog up and running for one year today!  In that year I’ve written 216 posts (not including this one), and received 1,839 comments.  Thank you so much to all of you for living with my weirdness and forget-to-post-ness, and thank you to everyone who commented even one of those thousand comments!  I love to get your feedback!  I would link to my first post, but it’s. . . boring.  Okay, since you guys all want to read it now, here it is.  Anyway,

Last week’s quote was from Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, Chapter 59.

Awesome, awesome book!  Spencer J Rothfuss gets brownie-points for being the only one to recognize that fabulous quote!

And now, I have some bad news:

This is the last “Mystery Quote” for a while.

Later this week I’ll be starting some posts about China (that anniversary is coming up this week too!), and then I’ll do some Christmas posts–and then The Sacrifice,  if I ever find a way to finish it! 🙂

And so, considering this is our anniversary, and you guys won’t have a quote to guess, I’d like everyone who reads this to comment.  I’d love to know who’s out there!  Please just say how you found my blog and, if you’re a regular reader, why you read my blog.  And if you have any other comments or questions, go ahead!

I’m all ears!

  1. I found your blog when you commented on mine. I absolutely love the stories and mystery quotes. (And I’ll admit, it’s entertaining to watch everyone go crazy on the comments when you end a story post on a cliffhanger.) 🙂

Even if I didn’t know you, I’d still read your blog, simply because you are a great writer!

    1. Aw, thanks, Katie! I love reading your blog too!
Sorry “The Sacrifice” is so long in coming. I do think I’m on to something in regards to a happy ending now though. . .
Oh, and I have loads of fun reading the comments too–on posts like “The Mushroom Feast #5” (a.k.a. the spider-part)! That’s really the only reason I end things on cliffhangers. 😉

  2. Hi Ears!
I do read it all the time…do not participate in guessing quotes, but enjoy watching this go on.
I enjoy reading your log because it is a window into your life that I love to look through. I am quite proud of you and who you are becoming. It has been like watching a bloom on a flower open up. Wonderful to watch and the outcome beautiful to see.
    Love you

  3. Well, um, I’m your brother. I read it because, um, you’re my sister. (-: I enjoy hearing your thoughts (which are often surprisingly deep) and getting to participate in the Mystery Quotes. Plus, it’s always good to get a taste of your writing when I have time. Keep it up!

  4. Hi Hanna! We found your blog the night you started it! 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your writing, you thoughts, your questions, and more with us! We are grateful that we have found your blog! 🙂

  5. I found your blog through my mom, who was looking at the AWAA blog and found a link to a post you wrote. Or something like that. She sent me your link, and I was hooked.

I like to read your blog because you’re a great writer, the blog is fun (mystery quote!), and I feel like I can relate to you in some ways. Like your family adopted from China and mine is in the process (which is very LONG).

  6. I found your blog through our mom. 🙂 She announced that you had started a blog, and we girls all flew over to the computer.
I started reading your blog because I wanted to see your thoughts about things. I had no clue about the awesomeness I was about to dive into!
I love your blog because you post about spiritual things.
You know, you write with a very mature point of view. You are much more of a faithful blogger than I. 🙂 Thanks for keeping it up, girl!
See you in…um….a couple of hours! 😀

  7. I can’t believe you’ve already posted 216 times!
I found your blog through … well, I think it was you, actually 🙂 . I’m pretty sure you e-mailed us or something the night you started it.
I read it because I like your thought-provoking posts, your beautiful writing, the ‘randomness’ you post about, and … well basically, I like everything about your blog 😀 .
And, as Katie said, even if I didn’t actually know you, I would still read the blog, because, to put it plan and simple, it is amazing 🙂 .
Can’t wait to read The Sacrifice!
    ~Savannah

    1. I would say everything Savannah said! Except for the part where she said it’s amazing. I wouldn’t have said that. I would have said that it’s ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Yeah, something like that. 🙂 ~Sky

  8. Sorry I’m a little bit late. My mom sent me the link to your blog and I have been reading it ever since. I like reading your blog because it is fun, it is very interesting to hear your thoughts and perspectives, and you are a really great writer. And I agree with Katie and Savannah, I would read your blog even if you weren’t my friend because it is awesome!!!
And, I can’t wait to read The Sacrifice!!!!
