Two Weeks

You know that scene in “Frozen” where the king and queen are packing, and Anna comes skipping in and is like “See you in two weeks!” all bouncy and cheery?

Well, two weeks is seriously a LONG time, Anna! Β Don’t be so chipper about it!

We ordered Jimmy John’s like weeks after we got home from China or something, and there was a piece of lettuce stuck to my sandwich and I had this wait-can-I-eat-this? moment, before I realized: I’m in America, I can eat anything!

And after we got home I didn’t want say thank-you to people: I wanted to sayΒ xie xie–which seriously would have made me look crazy back here! πŸ™‚

Two weeks is truly an awfully long time–but even after two weeks things wear off fast. Β I’m honestly glad we have pictures so I can’t forget how things were!

China at its fullest
China at its fullest

Yes, those are eggs! πŸ™‚

P.S. And no pressure, but seriously if there’s something I’ve posted about that you want to hear more on, comment. Β Any time, any post; if there’s a tag or just a subject you like the best, by all means tell me. Β I write because I like to, but this blog is for you. Β There’s no point in it, if you guys are bored. Β I want your in-put!

Happy Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  1. I really like it when you post about things that have happened, or things that are happening. Like when you posted about playing downstairs with Micheal, or singing with Lucy, or playing hide-and-seek! ~Sky

  2. Two weeks IS quite a long time! Especially when you’re waiting for something … and I happen to be an impatient girl :-).
Is that a motorcycle? With eggs on the back?! I’m guessing that you would never see that in America!
If I was in China for a while, I bet I would still be trying to say Chinese things to people back here, too! Though it would be kinda cool to know a bit of a different language … I tried to learn Korean once, but it didn’t really work :-). New languages are hard!
Honestly, I like ALL your posts … I don’t think I could pick a specific couple posts that I could point to and say ‘I would really like it if you did more of those posts’ … though I do really like the ones about Lucy :-).
How is ‘Searching For His Name’ coming along?
WOW this is a long comment :-). ~Savannah

        1. Wow, Skylar. You crack me up. πŸ™‚
I end up with incredibly long comments too, Savannah. Do you read “Leah’s Book-shelf”? I think I’ve seen longer comments there!
And yes, that’s a motorcycle. They’re VERY creative over there with packing things on those! πŸ™‚
“Searching For His Name” is going just okay… I’m not very motivated anymore, but I think I’ll get it finished soon.
It’s so fun to talk to you guys like this, because we don’t really see you anymore. πŸ™‚
Hmm… mine’s getting long too! πŸ™‚ Better stop!

          1. Yes, I do read ‘Leah’s Book-shelf’, it’s one of my favorite blogs! I love the book reviews she posts, maybe I should start doing book reviews on my blog … hmm …
It definitely is a lot of fun to be able to ‘blog -talk’ :-)! Even if we can’t see each other, we can still talk! ~Savannah

          2. Nothing is wrong with long comments! Have you heard of the author, Christa Kinde? Well, she has a blog, and I’ve seen comments on her blog that are like, two times as long as Savannah’s! Yeah, I’m so glad that we have blogs so we can still communicate with each other! It’s so fun!~Sky

  3. I like anything you write. China posts especially with photos are interesting. I like the quotes you post from the books you read too. They reveal how well-read you are and how you process the material. You do more than read, you ponder what you have read.

The family ones are most interesting to me because we haven’t been there to experience these wonderful changes with you and your family. It’s like being a fly on the wall, we get to observe without being noticed. Keep writing as your inspiration comes. Hugs to y’all – a little southern lingo there.

    1. You haven’t seen “Frozen” though, right?
Well, you probably know everything there is to know, after I talked your ear off about it! πŸ™‚
      Thanks for your in-put!

  4. No, Skylar, I have not heard of Christa Kinde.
We replied to each other so many times up there that it won’t let me anymore! πŸ™‚
And you totally should do book-reviews on your blog, Savannah! πŸ™‚

    1. You really should read some of Christa Kinde’s books! She writes a series called, “Threshold” It’s about a girl who can see angels! ~Sky πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  5. Hi, Hanna!
I’ve been working on this movie. Would you like to help with the script? I could send you a sample of it if you want, and you might catch what I’m basing the movie on. πŸ˜‰
